Bob Thompson: Measure of My Song
2025In celebration of Bob Thompson: Measure of My Song, Maximillian William is pleased to announce a unique publication. Designed by Jules Estèves as a tribute to Bob Thompson’s brief but productive life, the publication was printed entirely in silkscreen in Strasbourg, France. Featuring an introductory essay by curator Diana Tuite, each of the six paintings in the exhibition vividly reproduced as individual inserts, and a facsimile of a letter Thompson sent from London in 1961, the publication serves as a keepsake and a fitting tribute to Thompson’s legacy.

2025Featuring an essay by Eleanor Clayton, Head of Collections and Exhibitions at The Hepworth Wakefield, and a conversation with artist Alice Channer, Skinny Dip offers an in-depth survey of Ro Robertson's work over the past five years. Clayton’s essay delves into Robertson’s oeuvre and exhibition history, including The Hepworth Wakefield, Yorkshire Sculpture Park and The Sainsbury Centre, Norwich, culminating in the solo exhibition The Ribs Begin to Rise, at the Northern Gallery of Contemporary Art, Sunderland. Comprising sculpture, works on paper, installation and video, The Ribs Begin to Rise reveals the full gamut of the artist’s achievement to date. In the final section of the book, documented by photographer Camilla Greenwell, Robertson and artist Alice Channer walk the Coast Path of West Cornwall, discussing everything from influences such as Barbara Hepworth and Marlow Moss to ideas around collective bodies and industrial processes – and art as a love letter to place and community.

Winter Washing
With a text by Rebecca May Johnson 2025
A new publication accompanying Magdalena Skupunska’s current exhibition, soft crossing. It features a text by writer and academic Rebecca May Johnson, whose words follow the rhythms of gathering, preparing, and making. She traces Skupinska’s engagement with plants and pigments back to the traditions of food-making – the time-honoured work of harvesting by hand, of transforming what is fleeting into what lingers. A folk tale of colour and sustenance, of painting as a form of preservation and ritual.
